iPadel Club Leagues Summer 2024

National Club Padel Leagues in the UK

The iPadel Club Leagues are aimed at team players who want to play competitive padel against other local padel clubs.

This summer season we are continuing with the iPadel Club and Premier Leagues to allow some of the top UK players to compete in the leagues and to give teams more competitive matches at the right level, but continue the club player ethic. This will keep the integrity of the Club level Leagues and also raise the bar for some of the top competing players and teams.

League matches will be played between April 2024 and August 2024, with the winners of each region and runners up (depending on the number of teams in the league) qualifying for the national finals.

iPadel League Rules

  1. The Club Leagues are aimed at club level players and are open to anyone apart from any player who has competed in the 2023 LTA Division 1 National League.
  2. The Premier Leagues are open to anyone, male or female.
  3. Players should be nominated per team and teams can be added to, but players cannot not play for a different club if they have already played a match. A player may play up to a higher team once if you need someone to make up a team as I would rather have a match played, but not down from a higher to a lower team. Please observe the spirit of the event. Fun not glory!
  4. Players may play for different clubs in different events i.e. a man or a lady can play in the men's or ladies for one club and the mixed for another.

  5. To play in the Club leagues and to compete in the finals you must be a member or regular at your club if it doesn't have a membership. The Premier League is open to anyone who is a member or regular and a player must have played at least one match during the season to be eligible for the finals. This rule does not apply to the North event as it is a one day qualification.
  6. Each match consists of 4 rubbers of 2 pairs playing 2 rubbers each of best of 3 sets. The first 2 sets are standard sets with a 7-point tiebreak at 6 games all and 3rd set is a match tie break to 10 points.
  7. Sudden death deuces or golden points may be used as long as both captains agree beforehand.
  8. Results will only be recorded if added to the relevant Google Sheets and iPadel is informed via WhatsApp.
  9. £100 entry fee for each of the first two teams, £75 for a 3rd team and £50 per team thereafter. Please ensure your club pays your entry fees before your first match.

  10. Court fees for matches are covered by the home team at their discretion.
  11. Discounted NOX balls are available for your matches and your club. Please ask for more details.
  12. Home teams are responsible for arranging matches and must give at least 3 dates for matches to the opposition, if none of those are accepted a walkover will be awarded. It is not about getting your best team out, it is about having a fun competitive match.
  13. Walkovers will only be given as a last resort
  14. Teams must give at least 72 hours notice if they have to withdraw from a fixture or they will be liable for court costs.
  15. All group matches to be played by 31st August 2024 with the results uploaded to Google Sheets within 48 hours of each match finishing.
  16. Winners/runners up of each region (depending on the league size) will qualify for the grand finals to be held at a venue to be decided in October 2024. Date to be confirmed.
  17. Matches to be played before 31st August 2024, but I suggest you get your matches arranged as soon as possible as court time becomes more of a problem the later you leave it.
  18. League positions will be decided by points, rubbers, sets then games won.

Closing Date:

The official closing date for entries is the end of March 2024, but I would appreciate you entering as soon as possible how many teams and in which categories so I can sort the leagues and fixtures out.
