Rawdon Golf & Lawn Tennis Club

Rawdon Golf & Lawn Tennis Club is a friendly sports club located approximately six miles north-west of Leeds city centre, in the popular residential village of the same name. Nestled away at the top of Cragg Woods, this location allows for spectacular views from the Buckstone Rock, the clubhouse and the recently completed new seating and terrace area. With further improvements planned, there has never been a better time to join.

Originally established around the mid 1870s, the club prides itself on its friendly and relaxed atmosphere and exceptionally well maintained golf course and tennis courts.

The golf course is a unique nine-hole parkland course with undulating tree-lined fairways and tricky greens. Although measuring only 5,886 yards in length, the par of 72 is a good indicator of the challenge the course offers to golfers of all abilities. The club is also home to three floodlit all-weather, three grass and three mini grass tennis courts, catering for various age groups. In previous years our golf course has been voted one of the best nine-hole golf courses in the country and the success of our tennis teams has been very notable under the guidance of our friendly and passionate coaching staff.

In the clubhouse we have a bar where food is available, changing rooms and showers.

Padel

Rawdon is the first club in the Leeds and Bradford area to install a padel tennis court. Our court is a floodlit, premium carpet playing surface and installed by Portico Sport from Spain, in conjunction with Carbon Padel and Royal Padel as our equipment provider.

The padel court is available to book for both members and non members to be able to join the fastest growing racquet sport in Europe.

Our court is being installed in May 2021, with bookings from the last week of May. Members and guests will be able to enjoy a game, and then make the most of our outdoor terrace with stunning views over the golf course and Leeds, together with our newly refurbished bar and Sports Bar.

Padel tennis only membership is available at an initial special price of £100, or full racquets membership for the year costs just £225 and includes regular tennis too.
